VideoDraft mode
Plan a production, make the media and finish the edit on your Mac. The website calls this Vibe Film.
Start a video project#
Bring an idea, a script, reference images or footage. Agents plan the video and make the media with you. Then you both edit the same timeline in VideoDraft Editor.
Find your way around#
| Area | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Left sidebar | New task, Dashboard, Scheduled and your projects and tasks. The mode name at the top switches modes. |
| Center | Chats, plans and file previews. Split it to see two at once. |
| All files | Open your brief, look at images and play clips or audio. |
| Activity | See what the agent is doing. |
| Editor | Create or link the task’s VideoDraft Editor project, then click Open in Editor. |
What you can make#

| An edit | A timeline built from your media: cuts, captions, color, sound and export. | A .vdproject in VideoDraft Editor |

Example
Make a 6-second 16:9 establishing shot from @media/reference.png. Keep the camera still, add slow drifting mist and keep the product’s shape. Estimate the cost first, save the clip in media/ and show it here.Check models before a big batch
Models change often. Ask the agent which ones are available and what the job costs before it makes many shots.
From brief to finished video#
- 1Write a brief: audience, length, aspect ratio and the result you want.
- 2Agree on a look with a few reference images before making every shot.
- 3Make a small first batch and look at the actual files.
- 4Put the chosen media in VideoDraft Editor and adjust timing, captions, sound and color.
- 5Watch the whole cut, then export it or hand it to another editor.
