Do I need an API key?

No. Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, and Cursor all sign in through your browser using OAuth, so you paste a URL and authorize VideoDraft once. Access lasts 30 days and refreshes itself. If a host cannot do OAuth, you can mint a personal access token on the VideoDraft keys page and revoke it there at any time.

What does it cost to use?

The connector is included on every plan, Starter included. Generations spend the same VideoDraft credits as Studio and the Mac app, from one balance. Starter includes 100 credits a month. Ask your agent to estimate a job before running it and it will tell you the cost first.

Can the connector edit a timeline?

Partly. It can arrange the clips, order, and durations on a hosted project timeline, and run a hosted production through to an exported video. Frame-accurate cutting, grading against scopes, captions, and mixing happen in VideoDraft Editor inside the Mac app.

Which models can my agent reach?

The same 70+ models available in Studio, including Veo 3.1, Sora 2, Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0, Nano Banana Pro, Flux 2, GPT Image 2.5, ElevenLabs voices, and Lyria 3. Your agent can list the current catalog and per-model costs before it picks one.

How do I disconnect it?

Remove the connector in your client, or revoke access from Settings then API Keys in the web app, where OAuth grants appear as OAuth: . Access is scoped to your VideoDraft account and revocable at any time.

Is there a CLI as well?

Yes. The videodraft CLI is the same tools and the same credits from your terminal, with JSON output and stable exit codes for scripts and CI. It is published on npm under the MIT license.
