Your first video

Three images, or clips at least 5 seconds long, that you already have. Product photos, screenshots and phone videos all work. Your own files cost no media credits. The agent’s work still counts toward your provider plan or VD Code weekly limit.

1. 1Make a folder for the project, for example first-video, with a folder called media inside it.
2. 2Copy your three files into media/. Name them shot-1, shot-2 and shot-3 and keep their extensions, so the order is clear.

1. 1In ADE, switch to VideoDraft mode: click the mode name at the top of the sidebar.
2. 2Click the folder icon next to Projects in the sidebar and choose Open folder…. Pick your first-video folder.
3. 3Start a new task in the project and open its chat.
4. 4Open All files and check the three files are in media/.

In VideoDraft Editor, build a 15-second, 16:9, 1080p, 30 fps video from media/shot-1, media/shot-2 and media/shot-3, in that order. Give each one 5 seconds, show each image or clip whole without cropping, and use straight cuts. Mute any sound from the clips. Save the editor project in this folder and show me the editor when it is ready.

The prompt sets the length, size, order and scope, so the agent has nothing to guess. If its plan adds extra media or a web project, ask it to stick to the brief.

1. 1In the right panel, open the Editor tab. It shows the linked project. Click Open in Editor.
2. 2Check the project is 1920 × 1080 at 30 fps.
3. 3Check the shots start at 0, 5 and 10 seconds and end at 15.
4. 4Press Space to play it. Each shot should be whole in the frame, with no gaps and no sound.

Change the timing to 4 seconds for shot 1, 6 seconds for shot 2 and 5 seconds for shot 3. Keep the total at 15 seconds. Show me the timeline before exporting.

Export this timeline as H.264 1080p to media/first-video.mp4. Wait until the export finishes, check the file and give me a link to it.

Open first-video.mp4 from All files or the link in the chat and watch it to the end. The job is done when the file plays, not when the export starts.

Now swap the first shot for one made with AI. This part uses media credits, so the agent estimates the cost before making anything.

Propose one visual for the first 4 seconds of this video. Check the available image and video models and estimate the cost. After I approve, make a still image first and show it to me. Once I pick it, animate it, save it in media/ and put it in the first slot without changing the rest of the timeline.
