Remote control

Remote control lets you carry on a Claude chat from your phone or the browser. It does not move the chat. The chat keeps running on your Mac with your files, tools, and environment, and your phone and browser become live windows into it.

• History carries over in both directions.
• Messages sent from either side stay in sync.
• Tool approvals appear on both the Mac and the remote device.
• Your Mac must stay running. The connection lives in the local agent process.

1. 1Run /remote-control in a Claude chat, or use Claude Remote Control in the chat header and choose Enable.
2. 2Open the chat in the browser from the status banner above the composer, or pick it up in the Claude mobile app.
3. 3Run the command again, or choose Disconnect, to stop.

Remote control is available on Claude chats. Codex chats run locally only.
