Bring web media into ADE

Find a clip you made in the web app, download it into a task and place it in your edit.

Find and download the clip#

Nothing syncs between the web app and your Mac on its own. You download the clip, then import it into your editor project.

  1. 1Open AI Studio and pick the project where you made the clip from the Projects list. If an agent connected over MCP made it, ask that agent which AI Studio project it used.
  2. 2Click the clip to preview it and make sure it is the one you want.
  3. 3Hover the clip and click Download. Save it in the task’s media/ folder.
  4. 4To remake the clip later, choose Copy Prompt from its menu and save the prompt.

Put it in your edit#

Paste into the ADE chat

Import media/selected-shot.mp4 into the linked VideoDraft Editor project. Check its size, length and audio. Place it in the opening slot without moving the rest of the edit, and show me the result.

Check the Editor tab shows the right project, then watch the timeline and the export. If you move the file after importing it, move it back or relink it before exporting.
